I started “Lucid Dreaming” late 2014. It all started when insomnia kicked it full gear and I couldn’t go to sleep. I don’t know what caused the insomnia to start, but it was getting bad and I didn’t want to take a sleep aid. I started with rain sounds, then nature sounds, and then after hours of research I found lucid dreaming.
Lucid Dreaming is when you can be aware that you’re dreaming while sleep. If you get good at it which I have, you can have some control over your dreams like characters, the environment you’re in, and narrative.
Sleeping is still kind of hard for me, but what makes it easier and a little more exciting to sleep is me lucid dreaming. I can remember my dreams more often and for longer, I always change the narrative if it happens to be a “nightmare”, and I get more sleep because the tone of the voice or sounds they use in the video clip.
I know you’re probably thinking it sounds silly but once you try it and you have your first experience, you’ll never think of not doing it before bed. Out of anything I’ve googled on the internet, lucid dreaming is one of the most fun and interesting things I’ve ever discovered. I’ll share some samples of lucid dreaming below!
Would you try lucid dreaming and if you have what do you think?
